frequently asked questions

What is the process of getting a Pocket landline?

It's very quick and simple:

Choose your type of Pocket Landline, complete the appropriate form and we’ll do the rest!

What are the different types of Pocket Landline?

We have 4 types

One 2 One - the simplest. Choose an area code, we allocate you a number, and port it to your chosen number. It can be a mobile number, or even someone you have to receive your calls

One 2 Many - you can receive your Pocket Landline calls on more than one number. So you could have 2 recipients - giving you twice as much chance of answering that call

Many 2 One - why not have more than one landline number, in different area codes? Great for people who want to demonstrate they have a presence in more than one town! All pointed at one number

Many 2 Many - our most technical service. As many area codes as you like, answered on as many recipients handsets as you like. We can even mix and match with landline and mobile recipients

How do I answer calls on my local number?

All calls are diverted to your chosen number for free so you simply answer it as you would a normal call

Does it cost to divert calls to my mobile?

No. There are no charges for diverting calls, it's all free and totally unlimited.

Are there any other costs?

No, the monthly price is all that you pay per month.

Will I own the number once purchased?

Yes. Once you have ordered, your new local geographic number will be emailed to you. This number is 100% yours and you can take it with you if you change providers. We will charge a £25 admin fee for taking your number away.

Can I leave you and still keep my number?

Yes, you can leave us if you wish to move to another provider and still keep your number.

Can I change the number I divert to?

Yes. All we ask is 24 hours notice. A quick email to our support team and your number will be changed

Is it cheaper for callers to call me?

Definitely! Some providers charge up to 20p per minute for calling mobile phones - so your incoming callers will be relieved to call you on a landline number

How can I contact you?

You can either use our chat button at the bottom right hand corner of this page, or you can emaill us at pocketlandline@voot.org
